Can an ambitious Israeli-American guy living in Jerusalem successfully integrate his dual passions for tikkun olam (Hebrew: “healing the world”), and for risky, business chutzpah - to bring solar- generated electricity to millions in Africa? How do he and his African partners deal with the power brokers of their world, including assorted African ex-dictators and international petro companies - without losing their souls?

And the latest!:
We will also premiere a new excerpt about Abramowitz’s incredible work with a Gazan woman environmental entrepreneur: together they built Gaza’s FIRST solar field, working without much support from either government. They recently co-wrote this Newsweek article on their challenges – that encapsulates Abramowitz’s belief that on-the-ground work bringing solar energy to needy communities, can be a global inspiration to peace and better relations between ALL peoples. Our excerpt will use exclusive footage shot of the solar field, including after its tragic destruction (unclear by whom) in November, 2023.

“Green Rebels” is an entertaining and passionate story: working to address climate change through clean green energy, helping African nations develop in positive ways (600 million Africans have no access to electricity), and how Abramowitz integrates his Jewish beliefs into his pioneering impact business. To date, Abramowitz built Israel's first solar field, and has completed the first African solar fields - in Rwanda and Burundi.
In 2024 and 2025 - we will present many other “Green Rebels” impact events (playing excerpts, then discussing them), in the United States and Israel: where we tap into the interactive magic of people in a room watching and talking about an exciting movie story together. Contact us if you want to invite us to share an impact movie/discussion event with your community! |
